The Samurai Collection
Current Exhibition
Explore The Samurai Collection’s newest exhibition, IRON MEN: The Artistry of Iron in Samurai Armor, Wednesdays – Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with free admission.
IRON MEN examines the vital role that iron played in Japanese warrior technology and culture from the fourth to nineteenth century. This exciting new exhibition features over eighty artworks including several masterpieces and many objects that have never before been on display. The armor has been assembled to highlight the ways in which this seemingly unyielding metal gave way to works of protective art.
Special events featuring IRON MEN are part of Wunder Series presented by Harwood District, an imaginative event series with free live music, seasonal happy hour, and more out-of-the-ordinary happenings.
