Put on Your Dancing Boots! It’s time for Hope Fest: Live from Harwood
What is Hope Fest: Live from Harwood, you may ask?
Presented by Harwood International, Hope Fest is equal parts concert, charity event, and VIP party. Since its debut, the Hope Fest lineup has yet to disappoint, surprising concert-goers each year with huge acts like Josh Weathers and Cory Morrow. This year is no different, featuring music from Ray Johnston Band and a surprise Texas Country band — we bet you know many of his songs!
Both general admission and VIP tickets just dropped for Hope Fest, taking place on Saturday, September 28 at Happiest Hour from 5 PM – 10 PM.
This year, both single and couple VIP ticket offerings provide complimentary drinks all night long and access to an incredible dinner buffet. These tickets are a hot commodity and sold out last year, so it’s best to get these while you can. If simple is your style, the general admission ticket gets you into Hope Fest with food and beverages available for purchase along with seating options on Happiest Hour’s shady lawn.
Proceeds from Hope Fest are given to four impactful local charities that support children and adults with special needs. You’ll have the chance to mix and mingle with representatives from each charity to learn more about the great causes you are supporting. Contributions from Hope Fest go a long way for each organization. As just one example, Cornerstone Achievement Center was able to hire another teacher and pay the salary for a whole year from the previous year’s donations.
Hope Fest started in 2017 by Katelyn and Oliver Barbier-Mueller. A former special education teacher, Katelyn saw the unique challenges these families face and wanted a way to give back. Katelyn recalls some advice she got from her mother-in-law while planning the first-ever Hope Fest. “She said, ‘Even if you can give each organization $500, that’s $500 more than they had the day before.’ I’ve tried to keep that mindset. As long as we’re able to give back, even just a little, it makes a difference.”
Since its inaugural year, Hope Fest has given back more than just a little. The benefit concert has raised over $500,000 for its benefiting charities. It’s all about being able to give back to the community and supporting these causes.
